Water's Edge Wellness Center Integrative Medicine Langley Whidbey Island WA

Molly Fox, ND

Dr. Molly Fox, a Whidbey Island native, is grateful for the opportunity to serve the community that helped raise her. With many years experience in naturopathic primary care, she now also focuses on her clinical interests in diabetes care and prevention, as well as supporting women through midlife and the menopause transition.

Diabetes prevention and optimization:

Diabetes is on the rise, yet many doctors spend little time addressing blood sugar dysfunction in its earliest stages. Recognizing this gap, Dr. Fox emphasizes the importance of proactive care for those with prediabetes. She approaches prediabetes from a whole-person perspective, combining lifestyle changes, nutritional support, weight management, and, when appropriate, medications. For patients already living with diabetes, a naturopathic approach can complement conventional treatment, often slowing disease progression and improving long-term outcomes. With the right support, Dr. Fox believes it is almost always possible to prevent diabetes from developing and, in many cases, to restore healthier glucose control and improve insulin resistance.

Perimenopause and menopause:

In addition to supporting patients with blood sugar management, Dr. Fox is passionate about helping women navigate the transition through perimenopause and menopause. She recognizes that midlife women often carry immense responsibilities, including caring for children or teenagers, supporting aging parents, and advancing in their careers, all while experiencing significant hormonal changes. Dr. Fox believes these women deserve thoughtful support during this stage of life, which is also a crucial time to build lasting health and prevent future disease. When clinically appropriate, her approach often includes hormone replacement therapy, alongside lifestyle guidance to strengthen the foundations of health. This includes improving nutrition, correcting nutrient deficiencies, and using herbal medicines to support balance and well-being.

About Dr. Fox:

Molly received her BS from the University of Washington in 2007 and her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine in 2013 from Bastyr University. In 2015, she completed a residency focused on integrative primary care at Seattle Healing Arts Center in Seattle. She has been practicing at the Water’s Edge Family Practice and Wellness Center (since 2016?). She is the mother of twins and enjoys spending her free time keeping up with them and her energetic husband. She has a genuine love for connecting with people, and also enjoys growing vegetables, jogging, lifting weights, and admiring the beauty of trees.

A Note to New Patients:

Dr. Fox is not currently accepting new primary care patients. She is, however, welcoming new patients seeking support with prediabetes, diabetes care, or any stage of the perimenopause and menopause transition. Her practice is cash-only at this time.
